Showcase History

The first Small Business Showcase was held at the Kitchener City Hall Rotunda in 2007 and became an instant success. It's principal aim was to provide an opportunity for small business owners to network and promote their products and services in the community. In addition to the tradeshow aspect, unique roundtable sessions open to exhibitors and the general public provided another dimension to the event.

in 2008 and 2009 the event was held at the Waterloo Inn Conference Hotel with exhibitors from around the region and beyond! Seminars and lively roundtable discussions focused on the value of Social Networking in small business, personal branding and sales.

For 2010, the Small Business Showcase moved to RIM Park and expanded to include a wide range of seminars on finances in a tough economy, home staging, and even how to protect your computer from viruses. The event also incorporated SBCN Connect - where on-line connections were invited to network face-to-face. The SBCN also celebrated it's 7th Birthday in style, with a cake and a helpful hand cutting from Waterloo Mayor Brenda Halloran.

This year we're back at the Kitchener City Hall Rotunda, with an emphasis on showcasing all that's big in small business.
